About Us

Aksamit Tree Care LLC was founded on a lifelong passion for forestry and tree work. Owner Michael Aksamit grew up cutting trees and processing firewood alongside his father, developing an appreciation for safe, quality workmanship from an early age.

Michael graduated from Iowa State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in forestry. During college, he worked two summers for the City of West Des Moines, Iowa, in the Urban Forestry Department followed by a summer working for the Iowa State Forestry Extension. He began his post-college career as an Arborist with The Davey Tree Expert Company. After relocating to Michigan to work full-time in forestry, he continued performing tree work for friends and family until establishing Aksamit Tree Care LLC in 2026.

Michael is a wildland firefighter and qualified sawyer who has fought fire in Michigan and deployed on wildfire assignments to California, Idaho, Oregon, Wyoming, and Minnesota.

Whether the job involves pruning, hazardous tree removal, bolting & cabling, stump grinding, or storm damage cleanup, Aksamit Tree Care LLC is committed to providing clear communication and professional service.
